Introduction to CAE and Numerical Methods
This is the first course in the General Purposed FEM series. Concepts of computer-aided engineering (CAE) will be introduced. The finite Difference Method (FDM) for solving engineering problems and the numerical procedures for solving linear and nonlinear algebraic equations will be discussed. Learners will gain an understanding of those concepts, interpolation functions, and numerical integration techniques. Exercises using computer programs will be led by the instructor.
