Underlying the design process, one important insight is in the understanding of true system performance, including mechanical, electrical, and subsystem processes. This Motion Analysis course presents the simulation of the dynamic of moving parts to compute the loads and forces distribution throughout the mechanical system. This allows the computation of complex interactions of motion, structure, actuation, and controls to optimize the design for safety and comfort. We employ one of the world’s most famous software on multibody dynamic (MBD) simulation capable of analyzing complex interactions between disciplines including motion, structures, actuation, and control. Real-world examples will be employed. Attendees will learn how to properly set up the initial conditions, the system of spring dampers, suspension steering system, and the employment of bushing, including the employment of impact function and step function together with the simulation of flexible bodies.

OBJECTIVES

Upon completing this course, the learners will gain an understanding of motion dynamics and its applications, how to set up and perform analyses using CAE tools, especially the multibody dynamic (MDB) simulation software. The learners will also acquire CAE analysis skills in different mechanical systems.

Lesson 5 : How to implement an external force on a system.

Lesson 7 : Analyzing the suspension system and suspension steering system.
Lesson 8 : How to apply bushing.
Lesson 9 : How to apply impact function and step function of the system.
Lesson 10 : How to set a problem with a flexible body.
