Introduction to Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is the last course of the Getting Started with CAE series. Concepts and theories that explain 4 classes of fluid flows for the CFD will be presented. Topics such as conservation of mass, conservation of momentum, and conservation of energy, boundary conditions, finite element formulations, finite volume formulations, shock waves, difficulties in the CFD analyses, and comparative results of the CFD and the exact solutions will be covered. Turbulence phenomena and models will be discussed. Prior knowledge of Introduction to CAE and Numerical Methods is highly recommended.
